At Marillandia learning to ski is really easy and enjoyable!
1 - Respect others
Every skier must behave in such a way as not to endanger others or cause damage.
2 - Control over speed and behaviour
Every skier must maintain speeds and behaviour suited to his or her abilities as well as to the general and weather conditions.
3 - Choice of direction
The most uphill skier, who by virtue of his or her position has the possibility to choose his or her route, must maintain a direction that avoids any danger of colliding with the skier further downhill. It is necessary to pay heed to the trajectories of other skiers according to the type of ski being used, snowboards, telemarking, carving fun...
4 - Overtaking
It is possible to overtake both up and downhill as well as on the right or the left. However, the distance must be such that it allows the overtaken skier to make turns. It is good practice not to curve on the edge of the run, but always to leave enough room to make overtaking easier.
5 - Crossing
Skiers entering a run or crossing a practice area must look up and down to make sure that their manoeuvres will not endanger themselves or others. The same applies after each stop.
6 - Stopping
Skiers should avoid stopping on runs unless absolutely necessary, especially in obligatory passages or areas of poor visibility. Fallen skiers should clear the piste as soon as possible.
7 - Ascent
Skiers re-ascending the piste must only proceed at the edges, moving further away in the event of poor visibility. This also applies in cases when skiers are descending pistes on foot.
8 - Respecting signs
All skiers must respect the signs on the pistes.
9 - In the event of accidents
Everyone is obliged to offer assistance in case of accidents.
10 - Identification
Anyone involved in or who has witnessed an accident is obliged to supply his or her details.
