Children and skiing

At which age?
The recommended starting age is 4 years old, but some individual characteristics such as weight, height, and psychomotor skills, will get your child starts on ski even earlier.

Fun vs Sport
Even if the premises look like a game, skiing is an action sport. In reality are technical moves, presented in a fun and chilld friendly way. The ski school helps to develop the concepts in a coherent and harmonized manner. Age appropriate educational materials are set in our playground "Marillandia" in which the child is immersed in a fantasy world and surrounded by people you trust, protected and pampered by a great newl friend, his "ski instructor." and he will ensure the accuracy of the moves, the finalization of the gestures and the correction of errors.

A fun and useful tool
The carpet lift has become an irreplaceable tool for a Ski School that, like ours, always place the primary emphasis on the teaching quality. It allows in few minutes to make the first descent easily with minimum effort and then immediately ready to go back uphill on the slope.

Something wrong?
Even though the Ski Instructor is well experienced in his job sometimes he faces the intolerance, and the rejection of the child for the physical effort, or against inexplicable whims. Do not panic: learning is a difficult process for adults and children. In any event, Keep in mind that at times even a large meal can interfere with the child behavior .During the learning period, a child needs o 1700/2000 kcal per day (50% sugar, 25-30% fat, 20-25% protein).

Our Secret 
What predisposes a child and/or an adult, to learn, and then to practice f a sport, is the motivation. Each of us has the drive of his own actions. The ski instructor not only know the technique, but also is familiar with the psycology and with his experience knows how to identify and articulate the interests and objectives appropriate to each child, applying the right approach to the appropiate situation.
